Do you share the gospel like you share your french fries?

Preach my Gospel, a useful tool for both missionaries and members alike, says, "The Book of Mormon describes the plan of happiness, which gives meaning and perspective to life" (113).

2 Nephi 9 also talks about the plan of happiness, or the Plan of Salvation. In verse 18 we read that if we keep the commandments, our "joy shall be full forever." A simple way to help spread the everlasting joy of the gospel is through inviting others in normal, natural ways to hear about the restored church.

I Love to see the Temple

How many times have you sung this song in Primary? At least a million? But when was the last time you thought about the words?

"I love to see the temple,

I’m going there someday

To feel the Holy Spirit

To listen and to pray.

For the temple is a House of God,

A place of love and beauty.

I’ll prepare myself while I am young.

This is my sacred duty."

How have you started preparing to enter the temple?

STRIVE TO BE

Enjoy a temple walk. Visit the nearest temple to you or virtually “walk” on churchofjesuschrist.org/temples

Listen to this song from the 2015 Especially For Youth soundtrack.

STRIVE TO BE

Set a goal for the week to accomplish something you’ve been putting off. It could be cleaning out your closet or starting a paper for school before the night before it’s due.

Unexpected Answers

“My mom and I were driving down our street when we drove past a girl in a wheelchair. My mom commented that she sees her everywhere, but she’s always alone. She sits by herself at church and school. I felt bad for her, but didn’t know what to say if I ever did talk to her. I said a silent prayer that she would make a friend soon.

“The next week my mom and I were at an activity for church and we saw her in the corner of the room. Without even thinking, my mom went over and introduced herself. I went over to meet her too. She was so nice! She had been in a wheelchair for her whole life and was super strong. She had a lot to say and seemed to like the company. When we said goodbye I remembered my prayer to Heavenly Father to help her find a friend. Maybe the answer to my prayer was me!”

STRIVE TO BE

Write down what you think a good friend is. What do they say or do? What do they not do or say? Choose a few things to do yourself and become a better friend to others.

SERVE to Be

The two great commandments are to love God and love your neighbor. And when you serve your neighbors to show them love, you also serve and love God! (Mosiah 2:17)

President Nelson has stated that "our greatest joy comes as we help our brothers and sisters." Read the rest of his talk here.

STRIVE TO BE

Choose an act of service to do this week. It could be for your family, a friend, sibling, neighbor, or teacher. Write it down so you don't forget!
